Jennifer R. Goldman is the principal attorney and founder of Goldman Legal, a firm established in 2015. Jennifer has built a reputation as one of the most aggressive, skilled trial attorneys in Southern California with a fierce dedication to her clients, an exceptional ability to navigate the legal system and is known for her creative approach to problem-solving. She is tirelessly dedicated to defending the rights of the wrongfully accused on both the state and the federal level, in addition to the defense and enforcement of all types of restraining orders, including domestic violence, gun violence prevention, elder abuse, civil harassment, and workplace violence prevention. Jennifer has been licensed to practice law since 2012, and is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
 
Jennifer always knew that she wanted to advocate for the underdog as it was instilled in her from a very young age. Jennifer pursued her degree in Criminal Justice Administration at the University of Arizona, and received her JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Jennifer enjoys building relationships with her Clients and believes that an unparalleled work ethic, integrity, compassion, will achieve the most optimal results for every Client.

Andrew Flores, Partner

Andrew Flores is a versatile litigator with his primary area of practice being criminal defense and restraining order prosecution and defense. He also handles civil business litigation matters such as contract disputes and other related civil matters. Mr. Flores has a passion for advocacy which was fostered by his time on his collegiate debate team at California State University, Chico where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an Emphasis in Legal Studies.

Upon graduating, Mr. Flores attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While a law student Mr. Flores was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in both Trial Practice and Contracts, which is given to the student in each class with the highest grade. Mr. Flores was a member of the Mock Trial team which only furthered his desire to be a trial attorney. Immediately upon graduating from law school, Mr. Flores took and passed the California Bar Exam and was admitted to practice in December of 2010.

During his time as an attorney Mr. Flores has represented clients in both federal and state criminal cases ranging from charges of attempted murder to DUI. As a litigator, Mr. Flores is never shy about taking a matter to trial should the case call for it; he prides himself on providing his clients with open and honest representation with a commitment to counseling clients through, what for most, are very trying times. This is especially true for individuals needing assistance with the defense or prosecution of a restraining order, whether that be a Domestic Violence Restraining order, Gun Violence Restraining order, Elder Abuse Restraining order, or Civil Harassment restraining order, all of which Mr. Flores has experience handling. times. Mr. Flores remains committed to obtaining results for clients, whether that be a not guilty verdict, the issuance of a permanent restraining order, or facilitating a resolution that helps his client move on from their legal issues in a positive way but always in a manner where the client is fully aware of the process and all of the options available. Mr. Flores believes that in order to obtain such results an understanding and appreciation for each individual client is the most important factor. When not advocating for his clients, Mr. Flores spends his time with his wife and two boys attending Padres games, Camping, and traveling.

Aileen Lopez, Office Manager

Aileen joined Goldman Legal in 2021 and has been working as a legal assistant at law firms for over twelve years and has experience in social security law, family law, and criminal defense. Her attention to detail and dedication to the wellbeing of all clients is paramount in her work ethic and she is happy to work closely with clients to establish a good working relationship throughout the lifetime of the case. Throughout her working history, Aileen has enjoyed learning court procedures, legal rights, and extensive court document preparation to better assist clients. A student of psychology, she spends her free time studying for her bachelors degree and loves being with her family. Her favorite personal pastimes include reading and power walking throughout Downtown San Diego for exercise.

Grant Funk, Senior Legal Assistant

Grant Funk is a seasoned legal professional with over 13 years of experience in the criminal defense field. He has worked as a case manager, legal assistant, and paralegal, managing several law firms in Southern California. A San Diego native, Grant has a deep understanding of the legal landscape in the area and has assisted with many serious legal trials in the Superior Court of California.

Grant’s dedication to his work and passion for achieving results for his clients are second to none. He has undergone extensive training in defense strategy, which has enabled him to provide his clients with the best possible legal representation. Grant’s expertise in the criminal defense field is highly sought after, and his track record of success speaks for itself.

Currently, Grant is enrolled as a law student with the goal of becoming a licensed attorney. He is committed to furthering his legal education and expanding his skill set to better serve his clients.
